He has a young family and lives on the Lake View development near the north end of the village. He moved from Lake view to Crab Lane in 2003. He is also involved in Newark Round Table, Muskham Players and Newark Rugby Club. He is a Magistrate in Newark and is involved in The Muskham Players. He retired after 31 years at IBM and now focuses on Pancreatic Cancer at a National level as a Patient representative.
